It is the only museum in California dedicated to the preservation and display of California Impressionism, or Plein-Air paintings, an art style that flourished in California from 1890 to 1930. This year’s festival is sponsored by the Ohio Wine Producers Association, and is designed to showcase Ohio wines: 14 Ohio wineries will be pouring at the event. The Dayton Wine Fest will be held outdoors, on the Boonshoft museum grounds, and proceeds will benefit the Boonshoft. The ticket price ($20 in advance, $25 at the gate) includes 10 sampling tickets and a souvenir glass. Food is purchased separately. Food vendors will include Brock Masterson’s Catering & Events, Unique Eats, Pita Pockets International, Grumpy’s Barbecue and Rismiller Concession.

Tickets for ages 2 to 15 are $3, ages 16 to 20 or designated drivers are $10. Children under 2 are free.
