National Museum of the United States Air Force
1100 Spaatz Street Wright-Patterson AFB
Key moments in the story of military flight are documented in galleries highlighting the history of members of the Air Force, as well as its equipment, uniforms and thousands of related artifacts used in military aviation. From the 1909 Wright Military Flyer to the F-22A Raptor, the museum's vast aircraft collection spans the years of military aviation. The more than 400 aircraft and missiles include such rare, one-of-a-kind items as the XB-70, presidential aircraft and the world's only permanent display of the B-2 Stealth Bomber. Visit the museum's newest gallery highlighting Cold War-era memorabilia and the Missile and Space Gallery opened in 2004.
