On February 24th, Dayton locals will be taking the ring at Memorial Hall in an exhibition boxing event like no other. Pre-sale tickets will be available at Carillon Historical Park, Carillon Brewing Co., Brown Institute of Martial Arts, and other locations TBA.
Once known as one of the greatest boxing towns in the Midwest, Dayton has welcomed exciting matches featuring boxing legends from Jack Dempsey to Muhammed Ali. In this spirit, Dayton History is harkening back to Memorial Hall’s past life as host to such boxing events with Dayton Fight Night. Dayton’s own “VIPs” will go toe-to-toe for three rounds in a custom made boxing ring at center-stage. Spectators can enjoy food and drink while cheering on their favorite boxers in this historic theatre.
Get in on the action as Dayton VIPs duke it out in the ring! This exciting 1920's themed boxing exhibition is brought to you by Dayton History and Brown Institute of Martial Arts. Funds raised from the event help sustain the educational programming and conservation efforts at Carillon Historical Park and Dayton History’s other sites.
Wine, beer, and soft drinks are served throughout the night. After the final bell has tolled, the Fight Night Speakeasy After Party starts swinging in the lower level of Memorial Hall. Featuring a full-service bar and live entertainment, guests can mingle with fighters and dance the night away.
