Dayton Science Festival

Overview

Each year, on the last of our quarterly FREE-admission Super Science Saturdays, the Boonshoft Museum collaborates with the Dayton Science Festival for a community-wide celebration of STEMM learning. Area families are invited to explore hands-on activities located throughout the Museum and interact with partners and Museum professionals for a unique experience of science and fun.

The Astronomy, Collections, Education, and Discovery Zoo/Live Animals Departments of the Museum present an awesome day of science fun with a focus on educational talks, science theater presentations, experiments, and youth-oriented programming.

“Science inspires people of all ages and backgrounds,” said Boonshoft Museum Vice President of Education, Dawn Kirchner. “The Dayton Science Festival offers an opportunity for many who may otherwise be hard-pressed to visit to also enjoy the wonder and excitement of discovery.”
