Downtown Dayton

2nd Street Market (937-228-2088)

Take an old train depot, fill it with bright colors and the sweet smell of freshly baked pies, then throw in 40 local artisans and what do you get? A great place to shop! From fresh flowers and produce to bulk spices and gourmet coffees, from imported home décor to homemade candles and original artwork, the National City 2nd Street Public Market truly is a feast for the senses! Thurs. and Fri. 11a.m.-3p.m. and Sat. 8am-3p.m. Allow approximately 1 1/2 hours.

Oregon Historic District (937-223-0838)

Located on the edge of downtown Dayton on Fifth Street. With over 20 shops, you can enjoy art galleries, vintage clothing shops and antique stores. In these shops you might find antique furniture, oil paintings, vintage clothing, comic books, and collectibles. Have dessert, coffee, or lunch at one of the many cafes and restaurants. Most shops and eateries are open 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Mon. – Fri. and Sat. 12 noon – 5 p.m. Allow approximately 1 hour.

Treasure Barn Antique Mall (937-222-4400)

Located in downtown Dayton at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds on Main Street. There are over 40 dealers on two floors with offerings such as antique lace, old linens, tobacco collectibles, commemorative plates, old Pez dispensers, household items, china, glassware, jewelry, and furniture. Open 11 a.m. - 5: p.m. Tues. – Sat. & Sun. 12 noon – 5 p.m. Closed Mon. Allow approximately 1 hour.

Shops of Oakwood

For sheer joy…experience beautiful Oakwood on their finest boulevard. Over 40 various retail shops, florists, jewelry and restaurants in the heart of Oakwood. They have a few large retail stores like Chico’s and Talbots but are more known for their locally owned shops that make up most of the shopping area. Hours vary per store. Allow approximately 1 1/2 hours.

Town and Country Shopping Center (937-293-7516)

Located 6 miles south of downtown Dayton at the corner St.Rt.48 and Stroop Road. Some of the great shops include: Artizan’s Group, Figlio, Jos. A. Bank Clothiers, Senses, Town and Country Fine Art, Bath and Body Works, DeClark’s Hallmark, Steinmart and many more. Items that you might find here are clothes, shoes, home furnishings, and country crafts to name a few. There are several places to eat. Open noon to 6pm. Tue. – Sat. and closed Sun. and Mon. Allow approximately 1 1/2 hours.

Dayton Mall (937-433-9834)

The Dayton Mall is the largest shopping area with almost 200 stores and restaurants. You are sure to find anything on your shopping list. Some of the larger stores include JC Penny, Macy’s, Sears and New York and Co. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from including: Bone fish Grill, Bravo Cucina Italiana, First Watch, Rusty Bucket, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro. Mon. – Sat. 10am – 9pm and Sun. noon-6pm. Allow approximately 2 hours.

Cranberry Cupboard (937-866-8233)

The Cranberry Cubpoard is a unique year-‘round craft show featuring over 30 crafters who offer beautiful hand-made and hand-painted crafts, furniture, gifts, antiques and so much more. Items that will be found include jewelry, pottery, ceramics, wood crafts and candles. Open Mon. – Sat. 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Closed Sun. Allow approximately 1 hour.

16 Miles from Dayton

Tipp City (937-667-9435)

Located16 miles north of downtown Dayton at exit 68 off of I-75. Go east on St. Rt. 571. Tipp City is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. There are over 25 shops including a Christmas Shop, several antique shops, and specialty shops. You’ll find collectibles, furniture, party favors and unique gifts. The Hotel Gallery features unique items from local artisans in each guestroom. Enjoy a meal at one of the many eateries. Most shops open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tues. – Sat. Closed Sun. 25 –30 Miles from Dayton

Springfield Antique Center (937-322-8868)

Located 25 miles east of Dayton at I-70 exit 59. This is an indoor mall with over 450 dealers. Some of the items you might find are Civil War and World War II memorabilia, glassware, toys, old fabrics, vintage clothing, furniture, and collectibles. Open daily 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Allow approximately 2 hours.

Cincinnati Premium Outlets (513-539-0710)

Located 27 miles South of Dayton off of I-75 at exit 29. This 400,000-square-foot upscale outlet shopping has an impressive collection of 100 designer and name brand outlet stores including Banana Republic, Coach, Cole Haan, J.Crew, Kenneth Cole, Michael Kors, Nike, Polo Ralph Lauren, Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, Tommy Hilfiger. There is a food court inside that includes Chicken Now, China Max, Steak it Out, Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen and Saxbys Coffee. Open Mon-Sat 10am-9pm, Sun 10am-6pm. Allow approximately 2 hours.

AAA I-70 Antique Mall (937-324-8448)

Located 25 miles east of Dayton off of I-70 exit 59. This indoor facility has over 200 dealers. Items available here include pottery, glassware, pictures, prints, primitive antiques, crocks, and many other types of antiques. Open daily 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Allow approximately 1 1/2 hours.

Heart of Ohio Antique Center (937-324-2188)

Located 28 miles east of Dayton at exit 62 on I-70. This indoor antique mall has over 400 booths. The mall features hard - to - find antiques, high quality furniture, glassware, and collectibles. UPS shipping service is available. You can enjoy lunch at Romona’s Café which features deli sandwiches, soups, salads, and a daily special. Open daily 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. Allow approximately 2 hours.

Yellow Springs (937-767-2686)

Located 27 miles east of Dayton on St. Rt. 68. The downtown area offers an eclectic assortment of shops and restaurants. There are over 40 shops including Bonadies Glasstudio, Dark Star Books, Gretchen and Co., Import House, Ohio Silver, Pangea, Village Artisans, and Yellow Springs Pottery. Some of the items you might find are custom stained glass, comic books, jewelry, unique gifts, antiques, and collectibles. Enjoy a meal, dessert, or snack at one of the many eateries which include Dino’s Cappuccinos, Dayton Street Gulch, Ha Ha Pizza, Ye Olde Trail Tavern, and Young’s Jersey Dairy. Located 28 miles south of Dayton at St. Rt. 42 and St. Rt. 63. Historic downtown Lebanon offers quality antiques, unique gifts, and fine dining. There are over 30 stores, of which 20 are antique shops. Other shops feature tribal arts, chocolates, jewelry, western wear, and country furniture. Some of the shops are Gerhardt Tribal Art, Country Traditions, Golden Carriage, Lebanon Antiques, The Open Hearth, Grigby’s Gallery, and Whimsey & Nostalgia. The eateries include The Golden Lamb, The Gourmet on Broadway, and The Village Cellars. Most shops are open daily 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sun. 12 noon – 5 p.m. Allow approximately 2 hours.

Waynesville (937-897-8855)

Located 29 miles south of Dayton at St. Rt. 42 and St. Rt. 73. Called the Antiques Capital of the Midwest, Waynesville offers over 70 antique shops, specialty shops, galleries, and eateries in a five-block historic district. While strolling from shop to shop, enjoy the historic buildings, brick sidewalks, and copper street lamps. Some of the shops include Velvet Rear Antiques, Noah’s Ark, Hearth and Home, Country Joy, Canada Goose Gallery, The Gathering Room. For your dining pleasure there are several eateries including Der Dutchman, Hammel House Inn, The Village Family Restaurant, and Millie’s-A Taste of Waynesville. Most shops are open daily. Tanger Outlets Jeffersonville I (800-746-7644)

Located 30 miles east of Dayton at St. Rt. 35 and I-71.There are over 90 outlets located at this outdoor mall. Some of the shops include: American Eagle, Bugle Boy, Eddie Bauer, Levi’s, Paul Harris, Gap, Leather Loft, The Jockey Store, Sunglasses World, Nike, Fila, Waterford Wedgwood, and We’re Entertainment.
