Downtown streets are filled with murals, sculptures, painted sewer grates, unique bike racks, and other ways our city stays funky and fun to look at. The Contemporary Dayton

From gallery talks and exhibit openings to professional development workshops, The Contemporary provides opportunities to meet others who share an interest in art and to learn about and support contemporary visual art.
The Dayton Art Institute
The Dayton Art Institute is housed in one of Dayton’s best-known landmarks, a 1919 Italian Renaissance-inspired building overlooking downtown. The museum is a regular host to world-renowned traveling exhibitions, as well as a stellar permanent collection.
Dayton Society of Artists
DSA is a nonprofit organization helping local artists to promote their work and improve their craft. Located in an historical home in St. Anne’s Hill, DSA’s High Street Gallery serves as both an operating base and a gallery and events space.
Edward A. Dixon Gallery
This gallery provides a space for the exhibition, education, and appreciation of fine art, and is available for appointments seven days a week.
Front Street Studios Gallery, Dutoit Gallery, & The ARTery at Front Street
Front Street Gallery features the work of artist Mike Elsass and other artists. The Dutoit Gallery is a co-operative gallery run by its artist members, with work that spans various media, methodology, concept, and subject. The ARTery is a co-op with styles ranging from classical to contemporary in a wide variety of media.

K12 Gallery for Young People & TEJAS
K12/TEJAS Gallery, a nonprofit organization, inspires visual artists, art educators, students, and art patrons of all ages to imagine, learn, and create. The gallery offers studio art classes, community outreach projects, and workshops, as well as rotating exhibitions.
